Continuing Professional Development

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is how you can maintain the knowledge and skills and develop qualities in your professional life.

You may want to further your career, enhance your prospects or maintain your professional registration. Undertaking continuing professional development can be an inspiring challenging and ultimately rewarding experience. If you are considering CPD the first step is to talk to your line manager usually during the appraisal process.  Together you can identify your training and development needs.

These will then be incorporated into your Personal Development Plan (PDP). Two funding streams are available to support CPD, the CPD SLA funding and Post Qualification Cash Allocation Funds. For further information about how to access funding please visit http://nonmedical-cpd.staffnet.cmft.nhs.uk/
